+++ Sustainability as an important success factor for the Stecher Group +++
The Stecher Group has been committed to sustainability for many years. Stecher Drehtechnik GmbH recently submitted a sustainability declaration to the German Sustainability Code (DNK). This has now been released and can be viewed at the DNK (www.deutscher-nachhaltigkeitskodex.de) or on our homepage: www.stecher.de/downloads.
By reporting in accordance with the DNK model, we have reached another milestone in the Stecher Group’s sustainability efforts. This also authorizes us to use the DNK logo.

Stecher Drehtechnik GmbH was repeatedly audited and certified in accordance with EMAS in November 2022. This audit also validated the ISO 14001 environmental management system and the ISO 50001 energy management system as well as a separate environmental statement with material flow balance. This report also contains information on greenhouse gas emissions (“Greenhouse Gas Protocol”).
Several years ago, the company invested in an extensive heat recovery system so that the waste heat generated can be used effectively during normal production operations. The use of additional energy for heating the building is no longer necessary, except for a few very cold days a year.
CO2 emissions were further reduced significantly in 2022. Hazardous substances were reduced by a further 10% from the already low level in the reporting period. Further extensive measures to reduce CO2 were planned and included as targets. In future, the CO2 footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol will be a key component of our publications.
